Just one day after officially announcing that Cannapalooza
would take place in Las Vegas in March, Mandalay Bay pulled the plug on
the first-time pot-trade show. Will Cannapalooza move to another
location? "We're exploring our options," spokesperson Maggie Feldman
tells CelebStoner.
The
following statement was posted today: "We regret to inform all of our
fans who were eagerly anticipating the Cannapalooza event that Mandalay
Bay has decided to cancel our contract for space and therefore we will
not be able to hold the event. We are incredibly disappointed and
appreciate the overwhelming support for the event that we have received
since first announcing our plans."
Feldman said they had just booked Tommy Chong to appear at the show, which was scheduled for Mar. 19-21 and anticipated as many as 50,000 attendees.
